As we approach the twenty-first century, it is natural to say that human beings face many environmental challenges unprecedented in the history of this planet. Largely through human activity, many of these environmental problems are caused and life on earth faces the greatest mass extinctions. Even though those human activities lead us to be in economically better condition, the current environmental situation is really serious. In this paper, I argue that the economic methods, used to cure those environmental problems, are neither sufficient for efficient. What is needed is a more radical philosophical and ethical approach. In that sense, there is much need for the help of christian community to solve the environmental problems in Korea. |
