This paper pursues to develop a practical guidance for Christian teachers trying to integrate their faith and subject discipline. It was first identified that the modern epistemology has two problems, the `reduced cognition faculty` and the `reduced reality.` Although the postmodern attempts to solve the problems its efficacy is limited to the former only albeit little. first, a Christian epistemology overcoming these problems is suggested. Borrowed from Lonergan`s idea, the whole process of knowing is considered to be consisted of cognitive action and faith action. And the reality, object of knowing, is consisted of the Creator and the Created. Knowing of the Creator and the Created in personal knowing, resulting in knowing Truth and essential meanings respectively. Knowing about the Creator and the Created is cognitive knowing, resulting in knowing principals about them. Second, a Christian view on knowledge is also derived form an integration between the compatibilist and transformationalist strategies. Third, a Christian view of `Faith-Discipline Integration` is suggested. |
