| 국문 초록 | 우리는 일(직업)을 통해 일용할 양식을 얻고, 자기의 정체성을 드러내며, 이웃과 사회에 봉사할 기회를 얻는다. 그러나 현대사회에서 일은 생계나 사회적 지위의 수단적 측면이 강조된 채, 소명(부르심)으로서의 의미를 찾지 못하고 있다. 특히 아직 진로를 탐색하고, 직업선택을 위해 상당한 노력과 시도를 해야 하는 초기 성인기 기독청년들에게 직업소명은 매우 중요함에도 불구하고 교회로부터 이것에 대한 가르침을 받지 못해왔다. 본 연구에서는 직업소명에 대해 성경에서는 어떻게 말하고 있는지, 기독청년들에게 왜 직업소명이 중요하고 필요한지, 어떻게 하면 직업소명을 찾을 수 있는지에 고찰하였다. 또한 기독청년들이 직업소명에 따라 직업을 선택하고, 그 일을 하나님의 부르심으로 인식하고 실천함으로써 하나님의 부르심에 응답하는 삶을 살 수 있도록 돕기 위해 교회는 어떠한 역할을 해야 하는지에 대해 탐구하였다. 기독교인조차도 노동은 타락한 인간에게 주어진 저주나 형벌이라는 관점을 가지지만 성경에서는 일을 통해 인간이 번성하고, 낙을 누리는 것이고 결국 일은 사람에게 선물과 같은 것이라고 묘사한다. 루터(Martin Luther)의 신학에 뿌리를 두고 있는 직업소명의 개념은 일부 성직자들에게만 해당되는 개념이 아닌 세속사회의 직업생활에도 적용되는 신앙적 의미를 가지게 되었다. 루터는 만인 제사장론을 통해 모든 직업은 하나님 앞에서 귀하고 영적인 것이며 동등하게 존귀하다고 하였다. 중세의 오랜 전통을 깨고, 루터는 그 자체로 죄를 짓는 일이 아니라면 모든 직업은 하나님의 소명을 따르는 것이라고 밝힌 것이다. 청년기에는 진로와 직업에 대해 많은 고민과 탐색을 하게 되지만, 기독청년이라면 하나님이 나를 직업세계로 이끄시는 과정에서 어떠한 뜻과 계획을 갖고 계시며, 나는 그 일을 통해 어떻게 하면 하나님께 영광을 돌리고, 이웃사랑을 실천할 수 있는지에 대한 소명찾기가 이루어져야 한다. 기독청년들에게 직업소명은 더 특별한 의미가 있는데 첫째, 직업세계의 가치관과 관점이 물질시대에서 관계시대로 새롭게 변화함으로 인해 경쟁이나 성과, 이기주의나 물질만능의 가치보다는 영성에 기반한 유대와 협력, 관계와 헌신이 중요한 세계로 변화하고 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 소명에 기반 한 직업활동이 의미 있고, 지속가능한 일을 할 수 있게 도와주기 때문이다. 직업소명이 높을수록 삶의 만족도가 높고, 또한 인생의 의미, 일의 의미를 명확하게 붙들고 사는 태도가 삶의 만족을 높인다고 나타난 바 있다. 더불어 직업소명은 직업 스트레스를 낮추기도 하고, 직업수행능력을 높이며, 근무기간도 유지시키는데 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 기독청년의 소명은 영성과 함께 성숙되어져야 한다. 비즈니스 세계에서 영성은 매우 중요한 주제로 지난 20년간 많은 관심을 받아왔다. 영성이 높은 사람들이 직장에서의 적응이나 성과, 장기적이고 본질적인 차원에서의 기여가 높은 사람들로 평가되고 있기 때문이다. 이와 같이 직업소명은 기독청년들에게 하나님 앞에서의 부르심에 순종하는 삶을 가능하게 할 뿐 아니라 일에서의 의미와 목적, 이웃사랑의 명령을 실현하게 하는 매우 중요한 기독교적 가치를 내포하고 있다. 따라서 교회는 기독청년들에게 직업소명의 중요성과 그 가치에 대해 성경에 기반 한 가르침을 주어야 하고, 교회 내에서 기독청년들을 위한 전문화 된 진로 및 직업탐색 교육을 제공해야 하며, 교회 내ㆍ외부의 인적자원을 개발하고 활용한 직업관련 멘토링이나 롤모델 개발에 노력해야 할 것이다. |
| 영문 초록 | We make daily living and get opportunity to reveal our identity, and serve our neighbors and society through work. Work (vocation) has an important and lasting impact on our lives as a whole. In modern society, however, work has been unable to find meaning as a calling while emphasizing the means of livelihood and social status. Especially Christian young adult who have yet to make significant efforts and attempts to explore their career paths and career choices, they have not been taught about vocational calling from the Church, even though it is very important. In this study, it examined how the Bible speaks about vocational calling, why it is important and necessary for Christian young adult, and how to find a vocation(calling). It also explored the role of the Church in helping Christian young adult to choose a career according to their vocational calling and to live a life responsive to God's calling by recognizing and practicing the work as God's calling. Even Christians have a view that work is a cursing or punishment that is given to human beings as a result of sin, but in the Bible, man is prospering and enjoying through work, and eventually describes work as a gift to man. The concept of vocation rooted in Martin Luther's theology, has a religious meaning that applies not only to some clergy but also to the life of a secular society. Through Luther's universal priesthood, all professions are precious, spiritual, and equally honorable to God. Breaking the ancient tradition of the Middle Ages, Luther said that unless he was guilty of sin by himself, all work would follow God's calling. In early adulthood, there is much anxiety and confusion in searching for career and profession. but as a Christian young adult, they have to explore what kind of meaning and plan do God have in the process of leading them into the world and how they can glorify God and practice love to neighbors. For Christian young adult, the vocation has a special meaning. First, the values and perspectives of the professional world are changed from the material age to the relationship age. Second, work based on vocation help to make meaningful and sustainable work. Third, the vocation of the Christian young people should be matured by spirituality. In this way, the vocational calling not only enables Christian young adult to live a life of obedience to God's call, but also has a very important Christian value that enables the meaning and purpose of work and the command of love of neighbor. Therefore, the Church should give Bible-based teachings about the importance and value of vocation to Christian youth, provide specialized career and vocational exploration training in the church, and develop career-based mentoring or role modeling programs based in developing human resources from inside and outside churches. |
