국문 초록 이 논문은 최근에 발간된 ????창조기사 논쟁: 복음주의자들의 대화????에 나타난 창세기 1-2장에 대한 다섯 가지 해석에서 나타나는 이슈들을 개혁신학적 관점에서 평가한다. 이를 위해 먼저 개혁주의적 관점을 제시하고 크게 문학적 특성과 장르의 문제, 고대근동 문헌과의 관계의 문제, 그리고 과학과의 관계의 문제 등 세 가지 관점에서 검토하였다. 성경의 권위·영감·무오성에 관한 개혁주의적 관점은 성경의 규범성, 타락과 죄로 인한 일반계시의 불충분성 및 그에 따른 특별계시의 조명과 해석의 필요성, 유기적·전체적·축자적 영감의 교리, 구원·역사·과학의 문제에 있어서의 무오 개념, 성경의 목적과 성경의 형식(언어, 장르) 모두에 미치는 무오 개념 등이다. 창세기 1장에는 많은 시적 특징이 있지만, 평행법이 나타나지 않고, 바브-연속법이 반복적으로 나타나기 때문에 시가 아니라, 문자적으로 해석되어야 하는 역사 내러티브이다. 창세기 1장이 장르나 해석방법에 있어서 나머지 장들과 차이가 난다고 볼 해석학적 이유는 없다. 성경을 고대근동 문헌으로 조명하고자 할 때는 반드시 유사성과 차이성이 함께 고려되어야 하며, 영감 받은 성경의 권위와 무오에 대한 신뢰는 끝까지 견지되어야 한다. 특히 고대근동 우주론이 창세기의 창조 기사에 반영되어 있다는 견해는 수용될 수 없다. 과학(학문)은 가시적 사물에 대해 연구하고, 윤리와 종교의 세계는 종교 혹은 신학이 담당한다고 생각하는 것이나, 성경의 기능과 목적(즉 구원)은 영감이 되고 무오하지만, 그것을 담고 있는 성경의 형식(과학과 역사)는 오류가 있다는 관점은 이원론으로서, 성경적 개념과 합치하지 않는다.
영문 초록 This article tries to evaluate various issues in the book Reading Genesis 1-2: An Evangelical Conversation from the reformed theological perspective. It first of all discusses the reformed theology of Biblical authority, inspiration, and inerrancy, and then discusses differing issues in three main areas: literary characteristics and genre of Genesis One, relation of creation account with the Ancient Near East (ANE) literature (creation myth), and its relation with science. Because there appears no parallelism in Genesis 1 and rather there occurs vav-consecutive recursively, the chapter is not poem but historical narrative, which should be interpreted literally. When the creation account is to be compared with the ANE literature, not only commonality should be considered but difference should be emphasized appropriately. ANE cosmology is not considered to be reflected in Genesis account. Dualism (vehicle-cargo approach) is to be avoided, especially when considering the relation between the Bible and science.
