| 국문 초록 | 최근 들어 국내 사회 전반에서 혼전 동거를 긍정적으로 바라보는 시각이 빠르게 확산되고 있으며 이러한 추이는 크리스천 청년들 사이에서도 크게 다르지 않은 것으로 보인다. 이에 본 연구는 현재 교회에 출석하고 있는 크리스천 청년들의 혼전 동거에 대한 태도 및 그러한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 무엇인지에 대해 탐색하였다. 교회에 출석하고 있는 568명의 크리스천 청년들의 교회/종교활동 참여 정도와 기독교 신앙/영성의 수준을 중심으로 분석하였다. 응답을 분석한 결과, 교회에 출석하는 크리스천 청년 4명 중 3명은 혼전 동거에 대해 찬성하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과는 예배 빈도, 교회에서 이성교제 관련 교육을 받은 경험, 신앙의 성숙도, 성에 대한 기독교적 태도, 기독교적 도덕 가치의 수준이 혼전 동거에 대한 부정적 태도를 유의미하게 예측함을 제시하였다. 결과와 관련된 의의 및 교회와 사역자들이 고려할 사항들은 논의를 통해 제시하였다. |
| 영문 초록 | In Korea, the number of people who support cohabitation as a possible option for an intimate relationship or an alternative to marriage has increased vastly, and this trend also seems to be occurring similarly among Christian young adults. To explore Christian young adults’ attitudes towards cohabitation and possible causes to such attitudes, we examined 568 church-attending young adult Christians, focusing on their church/religious activity participations and personal faith/values as possible predictors. Results showed that 70%(n = 399) of the participants had negative attitudes toward cohabitation, while 25%(n = 142) had positive attitudes. Additionally, hierarchical logistic regression analysis suggested that spiritual maturity, Christian moral value, Christian view on sex, dating education in church, and church attendance frequency were negatively associated with having positive attitudes towards cohabitation. Implications for research and practice of ministry for Christian young adults are further discussed. |
