본 논문은 잠언 전체의 구조에 나타난 가르치는 이/화자와 배우는 이/청자의 관계 설정 및 그 변화를 추적함으로써 잠언이 드러내는 공동체 교육의 장의 형태를 살펴본다. 잠언 1-9장, 10:1-22:16, 22:17-24:34, 25-29장, 30-31장에 걸쳐 유기적으로 발전하는 이 가르치는 이/화자와 배우는 이/청자 관계의 분석을 통해 발견하는 지혜교육의 특성은 다음과 같이 정리될 수 있다. 첫째, 가르치는 이 (화자)는 계속 확장되어 공동체성을 확보하고 구체적인 인물을 길러내는 데까지 이르렀다. 둘째, 배우는 이 (청자) 역시 계속 확장되었는데, 배우는 이가 가르치는 이가 되도록 성장해 나갔다. 셋째, 잠언은 상호배움의 공동체적인 교육의 장(context)을 제시하고 있는 것으로 생각된다. 넷째, 이러한 지혜교육은 배우는 이의 삶의 전반적인 부분들을 전인격적으로 다루고 있으며, 그 삶의 부분들을 여호와 경외라는 세계관 교육의 렌즈로 조망하도록 교육했다. 다섯째, 이러한 교육은 결국 배우는 이가 지혜교육을 통해서 공의와 정의와 정직을 행하도록 이끌고자 했다. 가르치는 이는 가르치기만 하는 것이 아니라 배우는 이의 자리에 계속 참여해야 하며, 이 과정을 통해 공동체적 배움의 장이 형성되고, 상호배움의 터전이 자리 잡게 된다. 이러한 교육은 닫힌 결말로 마무리되지 않으며, 열린 결말 즉 평생교육(재교육)으로 이어져야 한다. |
| 영문 초록 |
This article purports to investigate the formation and its development of the relationship between the teacher(s)/speaker(s) and the learner(s)/audience throughout the book of Proverbs. Characteristics of the relationship between speaker(s) and audience, made progressive developments in Proverbs 1-9; 10:1-22:16; 22:17-24:34; 25-29, and 30-31, can be summarized as follows: first, the boundary of the teacher(s)/speaker(s) is gradually extended until the form of education utilizes the means of communal learning. Second, the boundary of learner(s)/audience is also extended until the form of education shapes the learner becomes the teacher. Third, the book of Proverbs is suggestive of a communal context of education that enables the teacher also learns from the learner. Fourth, wisdom education thereby deals with all elements of the life of the learner, which culminates in the formation of the wisdom worldview through the lens of the fear of the Lord. Fifth, this form of education leads the learning community to practice righteousness, justice, and equity. In conclusion, the book of Proverbs helps us to understand that the teacher is also to participate in the learning process, which eventually forms a communal context of education. Education in the book of Proverbs never assumes a closed ending in the educational context, yet an open ending: continual form of the re-education for Christian education. |
