이 연구는 S시와 B시에 거주하는 121명의 기독교인들을 대상으로 종교성향이 심리적 기능에 미치는 영향과 종교적 지지의 매개역할을 조사하였다. 내재적 종교성향과 외재적 종교성향이 삶의 만족과 우울에 다르게 영향을 미치는지 또 이 관계를 종교적 지지가 매개하는지 검증하였다. 내재적 종교성향은 삶의 만족을 정적으로 예측하였고 종교적 지지는 이 관계를 매개하였다. 종교적 지지 가운데 하나님으로부터 받는 지지의 매개효과는 유의하였으나 교회 공동체로부터 받는 지지의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 외재적 종교성향도 삶의 만족을 정적으로 예측하였으나 이 관계는 유의하지 않았다. 내재적 종교성향은 우울을 부적으로 예측하였으나 이 관계는 유의하지 않았다. 외재적 종교성향은 우울을 정적으로 예측하였다. 종교적 지지는 내재적 종교성향과 외재적 종교성향이 우울에 미치는 영향을 매개하지 않았다. 연구결과들의 시사점을 논의하였다. |

This study examined the effect of religious orientation on psychological functioning and the mediating role of religious support among 121 Christians residing in S city and B city. After controlling for demographical variables and other major independent variables, intrinsic religious orientation positively predicted life satisfaction, and the mediating effect of religious support was significant. Among religious support, the mediating effect of God Support was significant, but the mediating effect of Church Community Support was not significant. Extrinsic religious orientation also positively predicted life satisfaction, but this effect was not significant. Intrinsic religious orientation negatively predicted depression, but this effect was not significant. Extrinsic religious orientation positively predicted depression. Religious support did not mediate the relationship between intrinsic religious support and depression as well as between extrinsic religious support and depression. The implications of the findings were discussed. |
