| 국문 초록 | 이 논문은 그룬트비의 사상영역 중 경제분야에 대한 그의 사고체계를 그의 중요저작인 “삶의 기억(1838)”, 그리고 “덴마크인(1848, 1849)”을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 그는 “삶의 기억”에서는 영국 경제발전의 동력을 ‘이익추구에 입각한 일’과 ‘자유’에서 찾았다. 그의 경제적 사상은 “덴마크인”에서는 더욱 심화되고 체계화되어 경제적 번영의 조건으로 ‘소유권 존중’과 ‘영업의 자유보장’을 강조하고 그에 기반한 자유주의적 경제정책을 제안하였다. 그럼에도 그는 중간층이 사회의 대부분을 차지하는 사회를 비전으로 제시하였으며, 그 실현을 위해서 토지소유자의 소유권 행사를 임대료, 임대기간, 매각 대상 등과 관련하여 일정 정도 규제해야 한다고 주장하였다. 이같은 사고의 진전을 불러일으킨 요인은 1848년 이후 입헌 과정과 1차 슐레스비히 전쟁이라는 대내외적 긴장된 정치상황과 농촌에서의 계급갈등 상황이었던 것으로 보인다. 다른 한편, 토지소유권 행사에 대해서 제약을 부과하자는 주장의 바탕에는 일종의 토지공유사상이 기초가 되고 있었으며, 그가 경제문제에 있어서도 제도적 장치와 더불어 경제주체들을 공동선을 인식하고 추구하도록 하는 계몽을 중시했다는 점도 주목할 가치가 있다. |
| 영문 초록 | This paper examines Grundtvig's economic thoughts focusing on his two important works. In “Mands Minde”, Grundtvig found the engine of British economic prosperity in "work based on the pursuit of economic interest" and "freedom". His economic ideas were deepened and systematized in "The Danes," in which he emphasized "protection of ownership" and "freedom of business", proposing a set of concrete liberal economic policies. Nevertheless, he presented a vision of a society in which the middle class constituted the majority, for the realization of which he urged his country to set limits on the exercise of ownership by landowners concerning the level of rent, lease period, and the choice of the buyer. Among factors that contributed to the development of his thinking were the tense internal and external political situation of the constitution-building process and the First Schleswig War, as well as the intensified class conflict in the countryside. On the other hand, it is worth noting that an ideal of collective land ownership underlies the argument for restrictions on the private land property, and that he also emphasized enlightenment to make economic agents recognize and pursue the common good in addition to institutional arrangements of economy. |
