| 국문 초록 | 본 연구는 한국에서 만든 넷플릭스 영화, 드라마 시리즈 속 기독교인 캐릭터를 상호교차적 관점에서 분석하여, 기독교인의 정체성을 둘러싼 권력관계의 심층을 파악하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이는 대중의 보편적 시선에서 기독교인과 교회에 대한 현실적 평가를 면밀히 검토해야 한다는 데 기초한다. 이를 위해 레이먼드 윌리엄스의 ‘감정구조’ 개념에 착안하여 문화, 예술이 동시대 사회 구성원들의 정서와 가치관을 반영한다는 것을 전제로 삼았다. 또한 사회 권력의 구성이 다양한 정체성 요인의 중첩 위에서 형성됨을 설명하는 ‘상호교차성’ 개념을 주된 분석방법론으로 활용하였다. 이러한 관점으로 넷플릭스를 통해 공개된 7개의 작품에 등장한 8명의 인물을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 넷플릭스 콘텐츠 속 기독교인 캐릭터는 주로 사회적·경제적 계급, 젠더, 세대 등의 심급과 중첩되어 나타나며 사회적 관계망 안에서 다양한 방식으로 차별과 억압을 야기하는 것으로 묘사되고 있었다. 이는 기독교를 바라보는 대중들의 시선을 반영하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. |
| 영문 초록 | The purpose of this study is to understand the power relationships surrounding Christian identity by analyzing Christian characters in Netflix movies and drama series made in Korea from an intersectional point of view. This is based on the need to closely examine the realistic evaluation of Christians and Korean churches from the general public opinion. For this purpose, based on Raymond Williams' concept of 'structure of feelings', it was premised that culture and art reflect the emotions and values of contemporary members of society. In addition, the concept of ‘intersectionality’, which explains that the composition of social power is formed on the overlap of various identity factors, was used as the main analysis methodology. From this point of view, 8 characters who appeared in 7 dramas or movies released through Netflix were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, Christian characters in Netflix content appeared to overlap with issues such as social and economic class, gender, and generation gap. And they were portrayed as causing discrimination and oppression in various ways in social relationships. This is judged to reflect the public opinion on Christianity. |
