| 국문 초록 | 본 연구는 정신장애인의 고통 개념분석을 통해 그 의미를 명료화하기 위해 시도 되었으며 Walker와 Avant의 연구 방법에 따라 분석 방법에 따라 진행되었다. 정신장애인의 고통은 ‘치료 희망의 부재’, ‘몸과 마음이 시달리는 불안과 긴장의 연속’, ‘외부로부터의 부정적 시선으로 인한 자아 해체의 위협’, ‘권리보장의 불공평성으로 인한 비참함과 서러움’를 결정적 속성으로 가지고 있었다. 따라서 ‘정신장애인의 고통’을 ‘질병에 대한 치료가 진행되고 회복되는 어느 시점에서든 이상행동이 재발 될 수 있어 치료에 대한 희망이 빈약하며, 환자 스스로가 질병으로 인해 불안과 긴장이 연속되는 살아가는 힘든 상태가 되고 사회의 부정적 시선으로 위축과 낙담, 낮은 자존감을 가지면서 자신이 보장받아야 할 권리마저 적절히 보장받지 못해 비참함과 서러운 감정을 경험하게 하는 상태’로 정의하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 정신장애인의 고통의 속성을 통해 정신장애인들이 적절한 치료 및 재발 방지를 비롯하여 심리적 어려움의 심화를 예방하기 위한 정신건강전문가들의 적극적인 개입이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 정신장애인이 경험하는 고통의 속성에 대한 명료화가 그리스도인들이 고통받는 이웃과의 연대의 삶을 실천하기 위한 지침을 마련하는데 근거가 될 수 있으며 정신장애인의 고통을 낮추어 회복과 지역사회로의 통합을 돕기 위한 중재개발과 연구에 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. |
| 영문 초록 | This concept analysis was conducted to clarify ‘Suffering in people with mental disabilities’. Walker and Avant’s methodology guided the analysis. The suffering experience of people with mental disabilities was composed of critical attributes: ‘Absence of hope for a cure’, ‘Continuing anxiety-tension state with physical and mental struggles’, ‘Under the threat of self-deconstruction due to social stigmas’, and ‘Misery and sadness resulting from facing inequality regarding disability human rights’. Attributes drawn from this research indicate that proper treatment, prevention of recurrence and proactive intervention by health providers are necessary to prevent psychological difficulties from worsening. In addition, clarification of attributes of suffering in people with mental disabilities will serve as a basis for preparing a guide for Christians to practice solidarity with neighbors who suffer and contribute to reducing the pain of people with mental disabilities. Furthermore, it is significant as it can be used to develop intervention programs and advance research to enhance the resilience of disabled people and foster solidarity within local societies. |
