| 국문 초록 | 대전환의 시기라고 일컬어지는 사회적 환경 속에서 한국의 기독교 대학들은 어떤 위치와 자세를 취하고 있는지에 대하여 문헌조사를 통하여 고찰해 본다. 그리고 심각한 학령인구 감소에 따른 기독교 대학의 지속가능의 위기 속에서 수십 년간 제기되어 온 정체성의 위기에 대한 진단과 대안 제시들에 대해서도 고찰해 본다. 역사적이며 이론적인 논문들과 자료들을 종합하여 현시대에 필요한 기독교 대학의 본질과 가치에 대해서 고찰한다. 다가올 시대에 기독교 대학이 유지되며 발전되어 성공하기 위해서 기관 및 연합회 차원에서의 심도 있는 노력과 연구들이 필요함을 역설하였다. 미국의 사례를 통해서 비교하여 볼 때, 한국의 기독교 고 등교육기관 및 연합체들은 다양한 이론적이며 과학적인 연구를 하지 못하고 있다. 또한 한국의 문헌 조사 연구를 통해서 기독교 대학에 관한 대부분의 연구가 정체성에 관한 질적연구이며 고등교육기관으로서의 기독교 대학의 운영에 관한 연구는 부재함을 밝혔다. 본 논문에서는 양적연구의 시도로서 사례대학으로서 한남대학교의 경우, 교수들의 인식을 연구 조사하여 기독교 대학의 성공의 속성과 그 성공을 이루기 위한 요인들을 정량적으로 분석하여 제시하고자 한다. 문헌 연구와 조직론, 혁신론, 그리고 20년을 넘게 기독교 대학에 근무해 온 경험 및 기독교 학문연구 활동을 바탕으로 기독교 대학의 성공속성과 중요성공요인을 찾기 위한 질문 목록(inventory)을 개발하였다. 질문 목록을 사용하여 설문조사 연구를 수행하고 이를 통계적 기법인 구조방정식모델을 수립하고 기독교 대학의 성공을 위한 중요성공요인들 간의 인과관계 및 매개효과들을 확인적 요인분석법으로 제시한다. |
| 영문 초록 | Through a literature review, we examine the position and attitude of Christian universities in Korea in a social environment that is said to be a period of great transformation. We also examine the diagnosis and alternative suggestions for the crisis of identity that has been raised for decades amidst a sustainable financial crisis caused by a serious decline in the school-age population. By synthesizing historical and theoretical papers and materials, we examine the nature and value of Christian universities needed in the present era. It is emphasized that in-depth efforts and research at the institutional and association level are needed for Christian universities to be maintained, developed, and successful in the coming era. Looking at the example of the United States, Korean Christian higher education institutions and associations do not show a variety of theoretical and scientific research. In addition, through a literature survey in Korea, it was revealed that most studies on Christian universities are qualitative studies on identity and that there is no research on the operation of Christian universities as higher education institutions. In this paper, as an attempt at quantitative research, in the case of Hannam University as a case university, we research the perceptions of professors to quantitatively analyze and present the attributes of success of Christian universities and the factors necessary to achieve that success. Based on literature research, organizational theory, innovation theory, and experience working at a Christian university for over 20 years, we developed a question inventory to find the success attributes and critical success factors (CSFs) of Christian universities. We conduct a survey study using those questions, establish a structural equation model, and present causal relationships and mediating effects between important critical success factors for the success of Christian universities using confirmatory factor analysis. |
