본 연구는 기독교적 자녀교육의 원리에 관한 연구로, 성경 말씀이 자녀들의 삶에 적용되어 하나님께서 요구하시는 삶을 일상에서 실천하게 하는데 초점을 둔 것이다. 가정에서 주로 이루어지는 기독교적 신앙교육, 즉 기도하기, 말씀 읽기, 가정예배는 기독교적 삶을 가능케 하는 원동력으로 상정하고 그것이 자녀의 현실적 삶을 인도할 수 있게 하는 실천방안을 논의하였다. 성경적 자녀교육의 필요성을 ‘먼저 그의 나라를 구하라’는 명령에 기초해 논의한 후, 자녀교육의 핵심 원리이자 시작으로서 창 세기 1:1절을 중심으로 ‘구분’을 제시하고 유교적인 순종이 아닌 구분에 따른 성경적인 ‘순종’, 그리고 성경적인 구분을 기초로한 ‘사소한 것의 중요성’을, 마지막으로 자녀를 교육하는 데 부모들이 알고 실천해야 할 성경적 ‘징계’ 원리를 제시하였다. 기독교적 자녀교육을 실천하기 위해 우선되어야 할 것은 부모 또한 하나님의 자녀라는 인식이다. 부모가 먼저 본 연구에서 논의된 자녀교육의 원리를 스스로 삶에 실천하는 하나님의 자녀다운 삶이 기독교적 자녀교육에서 중요한 부분임을 결론으로 제시하였 다. 교육의 핵심적인 장소인 가정에서부터 하나님의 주되심이 삶의 전 영역을 지배하도록 하는 개혁 주의적 자녀교육이 실천된다면 부모와 자녀들이 어떤 곳에서든 세상을 변혁해야 하는 인간의 소명을 성취하는데 더 많은 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. |
| 영문 초록 |
This is a study of the principles of Christian parenting, focusing on the application of the Bible to the lives of children so that they can live the life God requires of them. The Christian Education of Faith that takes place primarily in the home, namely prayer, reading the Bible, and family devotions, is postulated as an enabler of the Christian life and the practicalities of these practices in guiding children in their pragmatic lives were elaborated. After discussing the need for Christian Parenting in light of the command to “first seek His Kingdom”, the concept of ‘Distinction’ in the context of Genesis 1:1 is suggested as the core principle and the beginning of Christian parenting; obedience is discussed not in the Confucian sense, but as Biblical “Obedience” through Distinction; the importance of trivialities based on Biblical Distinctions is discussed; finally, principles of Biblical “Discipline” parents ought to know and practice in educating their children are discussed. The first step in practicing Christian parenting is to recognize that parents are also children of God. Parents living first as a child of God in applying the principles of Christian Parenting discussed within this study themselves is the most important part in Christian Parenting and suggested as the verdict. If Reformative Christian Parenting professing God’ s Lorship over all spheres of life is practiced within the home, the primary institution of education, it will greatly aid the parents and their children in advancing the vocation of humans to revolutionize the world. |
