| 국문 초록 | 본 연구는 기독교 진리에 기초한 인재들을 길러내는 것을 목표로 하는 기독교대학에서 기독교 인성 교육을 수행함에 있어 이를 지원하는 대표 부속기관 중의 하나인 도서관은 어떤 역할을 수행하는 것이 바람직한가에 대한 전문 사서들의 인식과 요구를 조사하였다. 이는 기독교 대학 사서들의 인성교육 및 지원에 대한 인식과 요구사항을 토대로 기독교대학의 인성교육 지원을 위한 사서 재교육 내용과 방법을 구상하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하기 위함이다. 본 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 기독교대학 도서관에 근무하는 사서들을 대상으로, ‘설문조사법’과 ‘면담법’을 이용하여 연구 데이터를 수집하였다. ‘기독교대학에서 수행해야 할 인성교육의 영역에 대한 사서 인식’, ‘신앙과 직업과의 관계(세계관 및 직업관)’, ‘인성교육 지원을 위해 기독교대학 도서관이 수행해야 할 핵심 역할에 대한 인식’, ‘도서관이 인성교육을 지원함에 있어 걸림돌과 이를 극복하기 위한 요구(재교육 내용)’라는 주제를 중심으로 설문조사하고, 응답에 대한 이유와 기저 배경에 대한 내용은 심층 면담법을 통해 관련 데이터를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과, 인성교육 지원에 있어 도서관은 인성교육 전담 부서와 협력하되 동등한 위치에서 관련 프로그램을 함께 기획하고 실행하는 것이 바람직하다고 인식하고 있었다. 구체적인 방법으로는 인성교육과 관련된 특수 주제장서 수집과 큐레이션을 꼽았고, 그 장서를 활용한 교육서비스인 독서교육 프로그램과 정보의 윤리적 사용에 대한 교육서비스와 교육장소를 지원하는 것이 도서관의 주요서비스이자 역할이라 인식했다. 도서관의 인성교육지원에 있어 가장 큰 제한점으로 외적으로는 전문사서의 부족과 제한된 예산을, 내적으로는 사서 자신들의 인성교육 의미와 이를 지원해야 된다는 필요성에 대한 몰이해를 한계로 꼽았다. 이를 극복하기 위한 사서 재교육 과정에서 인성교육의 의미와 필요성에 대한 이해와 더불어 성공적이고 구체적인 역할과 서비스 사례들을 소개받고 실행방법들을 전수받길 희망했다. 연구결과 분석을 바탕으로 시사점을 도출하고, 기독교대학 인성교육과정을 지원하기 위해 고려해야 할 사항들과 도서관 역할에 대한 재고, 사서 재교육 과정의 내용과 지원 방향들이 제언되었다. 나아가 본 연구의 한계와 이를 보충할 후속연구 주제들과 연구과제들이 제안되었다. |
| 영문 초록 | The purpose of the research is to explore university librarians’ perceptions and perspectives regarding the optimal roles of libraries, representative and collaborative organizations upporting Christian character education within Christian universities. The research is significant for providing foundational data to redesign library roles and develop re-training courses for librarians in better supporting character education at Christian universities. To achieve the goal, the research employs a mixed method approach, combining online survey and semi-structured interview with librarians in Christian universities. The survey consists of 43 questions covering five topics: demographic data, main contents of character education in Christian universities, the relationship between faith and occupation, core roles of libraries in supporting character education, obstacles in supporting character education, and re-training courses to overcome these obstacles. Additionally, interviews with five representative and professional librarians are conducted to explore the backgrounds and reasons behind their selections and perceptions. Based on the findings, the research suggests practical approaches, detailing the preemptive roles and services that Christian university libraries should undertake. It also recommends basic directions for librarians’ re-training courses to support Christian character education should be provided. The research acknowledges its limitations and proposes further research topics for exploration. |
