| 국문 초록 | 본 논문은 목회자의 사역과 삶을 일치시키고, 목회에 생명력을 가져오기 위한 방법에 대해서 다루었다. 한마디로 목회자의 ‘재정적 자유(financial freedom)’이다. 오늘날의 목회자의 수입구조는 교회를 통한 사례비가 거의 유일한 재원인데, 사실 교회를 통해서 사례를 받는 것에 있어 대형교회와 미자립교회의 양극화 문제와 개교회성이라는 미명에 가려진 공교회성의 부재가 문제라고 본다. 여기에는 성도들의 책임도 따른다. 오늘날 많은 목회자들이 이중직을 하고 있는데 사역과 삶을 위한 몸부림이다. 어떤 이들은 목회자가 하나님의 은혜(왕상 17:1-7, 일명 까마귀)로 살아야 한다고 말한다. 하지만 하나님은 목회자의 삶을 위한 재정의 원칙을 성경을 통해 보여주셨다. 구약시대의 레위인들에게 주어진 성읍은 오직 하나님만을 바라보며 살아야할 레위인들에게 최소한의 생계비와 같았다. 이 정신이 신약시대에도 이어진다. 게다가 신약시대의 텐트 메이킹 사역(자비량 선교)은 오늘 날의 목회자에게 재정적 자유를 줄 수 있는 놀라운 방법 가운데 하나이다(이것을 이중직 목회라고도 부른다). 본 연구는 이러한 레위인의 성읍에서부터 텐트 메이킹에 이르는 목회적 재정원리를 제시한다. 성경이 말하는 ‘하나님이 정하신 규례와 법도’에 순종한다면 침체하는 한국 교회에 큰 활력을 줄 수 있을 것이다(레 25:18-19). |
| 영문 초록 | This paper addresses the need for two significant aspects of life in pastors - namely ministry and livelihood - to be integrated to bring vitality to ministry, and proposes this be achieved through pastors’ “financial freedom.” For present-day pastors, salary from church is almost the sole source of income, and this is problematic because of polarization between mega churches and financially dependent churches, and growing individualistic nature of churches which overlooks the absence of the greater Church. The laymen also have a responsibility here. Many pastors today hold two jobs and this is a struggle they take on to support ministry and livelihood. Some argue that pastors must live by depending on the grace of God(“living on the ravens” as mentioned in 1 Kings 17:1-7). However, through Scripture, God has already revealed financial principles His servants need to live by. Levitical cities in the Old Testament were like minimum wages for Levites who received no other inheritance but were to devote their lives to serving God. This principle continues into the New Testament era. Tentmaking in the New Testament is an amazing way for present-day pastors to achieve financial freedom(this is called bivocational ministry). From Levitical cities to tentmaking, this study presents financial principles for pastors. Obeying the “decrees and laws of God” written in the Bible will provide great vitality to the stagnant Korean church(Leviticus 25:18-19). |
