본 논문은 진젠도르프 백작의 성경적 세계관과 사역에 관한 고찰이다. 그는 슈페너 및 프랑케와 함께 독일의 경건주의 운동을 대표하는 인물로 18세기에 세상을 변화시킨 신앙의 지도자였다. 먼저 그는 박해받던 체코의 개신교 난민들을 자신의 영지로 받아들였다. 그리고 성령의 역사하심으로 그들을 변화시켜 분열을 극복하고 연합하게 한 후 마침내 세계 선교에 이바지하는 귀한 열매를 맺었다. 그의 신앙은 신학과 이성 중심이 아니라 마음 중심에서 살아 있는 주님과의 관계를 가장 우선하는 생명력(vitality)이 있었다. 그는 성경의 중요성을 깊이 깨닫고 말씀을 매일 묵상하는 소위 ‘로중(losung)’ 운동을 전 세계적으로 일으켰으며 동시에 기도의 능력을 믿었기에 하루 24시간 일주일 내내 기도 체인을 만들어 중보기도 하는 운동을 100년 동안 지속했다. 나아가 음악 사역에 깊은 조예를 가지고 발전시키는 등 그의 사역은 매우 창의적이었고 혁신적이었다. 또한, 그는 교파를 초월하여 진정한 교회 공동체의 하나됨을 추구하였으며 여성 사역에 대해서도 일찍 눈을 뜬 시대의 선구자였다. 따라서 이런 점들을 구체적으로 살펴본 후 결론적으로 그의 유산이 현대 한국 그리스도인에게 주는 함의가 무엇인지 제시한다. |
| 영문 초록 |
This article investigates the biblical worldview and work of Count Nikolaus L. von Zinzendorf. He was one of the representing leaders of the pietism movement in Germany who transformed the world in the 18th century. First, he accepted refugees who were persecuted in Bohemia and Moravia into his land. Then he changed them and finally bore precious fruits contributing to world mission. His faith had the vitality that prioritized the relationship with the living Lord in heart, not the theology and rationality. He deeply realized the importance of the Bible and created the so-called ‘losungen’ movement worldwide so that people can meditate on the Word of God every day. Believing in the power of prayer, he created a prayer chain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and started an intercessory prayer movement which continued 100 years. Furthermore, his ministry was very creative and innovative, such as developing various music ministries. In addition, he pursued the unity of church transcending denominations and was a pioneer who opened women’s ministry. Therefore, after examining these points in detail, in conclusion, the implications of his legacy for the modern Korean Christians are presented. |
