본 연구는 수월성과 대학입시를 우리나라 교육 문제의 핵심 사안으로 보고 협소하게 이해되고 있는 수월성의 개념을 재정립하기 위해 수월성에 대한 주류담론들을 분석하였다. 다양한 학자들의 수월성에 대한 논의로부터 수월성의 세 가지 핵심 요소들인 ‘다양한 수월성,’ ‘사회적 수월성,’ ‘도덕적 수월성’ 등을 논의하였다. 그리고 성경으로부터 수월성에 대한 네 가지 원리들을 제시하였다. 수월성은 다양함 가운데 조화를 추구해야 하고, 공동체에 기여하는 것이어야 하며, 수월성이란 하나님께서 주신 선물이기 때문에 인간의 죄는 수월성에 치명적 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것이다. 입시에 대한 논의에서는 먼저 현행 입시제도의 특징과 문제점들을 수월성의 관점에서 고찰하였고, 수월성을 제고하기 위한 입시의 개혁안에 대해 살펴보았다. 입시가 진정한 수월성을 추구할 수 있기 위해서는 입시제도의 개혁과 함께 사회적 여건의 변화도 함께 이루어져야 한다는 점을 지적하였다. |
| 영문 초록 |
This article deals with educational excellence and college entrance exam, which are key issues of Korean education. Above all, it analyzes the discourse on excellence in our society to redefine concept of excellence, which has been treated too narrowly. It discusses three key factors of excellence such as diverse excellence, social excellence, and moral excellence, based on many educational scholars'' discussions of excellence. I spell out four principles of educational excellence on the basis of Bible. Excellence pursues harmony among diversity and contributes to community. It is a gift given by God and can be deteriorated in terms of human sin. This article studies the characteristics and problems of the current college entrance exam system from the perspective of excellence. I suggest that we should reform college entrance exam system and at the same time change social environment in order to seek reconceptualized excellence through entrance exam. Finally I suggest All People Discussion Project for Educational Reform participated by many people because educational reform needs great efforts of our whole nation. |
