| 국문 초록 | 이 연구는 호주 기독교 대안학교 운동의 발전사례 분석을 통해 한국의 기독교 대안학교 운동에 대한 시사점을 발견하기 위한 목적으로 착수되었다. 이 연구는 주로 호주의 양대 기독교 대안학교 연합체인 ''기독교 부모 통제 학교''(CPCS)와 ''기독교 공동체 학교''(CCS)의 기원과 발전, 교육사상과 특징, 교사 교육기관 등을 분석했다. 아울러 두 연합 기관을 대표하는 학교로서 ''틴데일 부모 통제 학교''(TPCCS)와 ''리디머 침례 학교''(RBS) 사례를 선택, 학교의 역사, 교육철학과 원리, 부모의 과업과 공동체 특징, 교육과정과 세계관 등을 구체적으로 분석했다. 연구 결과, 가정, 교회, 학교가 일치된 기독교 세계관에 입각한 교육, 삶과 일치된 공동체 교육, 부모의 자녀 학교 선택권 보장 그리고 수준 높은 기독교사 재교육 기관 설립의 필요성 등이 제시되었다. 기독교 교육을 위한 호주의 여러 연합체들의 통합과 해체의 과정을 통해, 앞으로 한국에서도 다양성과 함께 일치를 지향하는, 특히 그리스도의 몸을 세우는 교육운동의 절실함을 발견하였다. |
| 영문 초록 | The purpose of this study is to analyze the historical development of Christian education movement in Australia and find out its implications on Christian alternative education in Korea. We analysed the history, background and educational policy of Christian Parent Controlled Schools (CPCS) and Christian Community Schools (CCS) which were considered as the two main streams of the Australian themelic school movement. As a case study representing each stream, we also looked at two Christian Schools, the Tyndale Parent Controlled Christian School (TPCCS) and the Redeemer Baptist School (RBS). The CPCS has for instance been emphasizing parents'' right of educating their children in schools of their choice and which suit their life views. The CCS, on the other hand, has put emphasis on the importance of the school as a learning community where relationships are more important than how they teach or even what they teach. Based on this comparative study and a study of a biblical philosophy of education, an educational philosophy for Korean Christian Alternative Schools could be suggested. The Christian Alternative Schools in Korea have to teach students based on a Christian world-view and philosophy. Korean education, public as well as non-government school education, has thus far been totally dualistic in that it has tended to separate fact and value, public realm from private. The Christian Alternative Schools rejects such dualism and educates its students as complete and total persons to know this world, to live and survive in it, to practice their God-given calling of stewardship of reality, to maintain their cultural mandate, to serve God in doing so, and to love and serve their fellowmen. |
