| 국문 초록 | 이 논문의 목적은 철학의 진리관과 성경의 진리관을 비교해 보고 후자의 특성을 부각시키려는 것이다. 먼저 철학에서 논의되는 중요한 진리관들의 내용을 차례대로 살펴보고, 각각의 입장이 안고 있는 약점들을 지적한다. 그런데 보통 우리가 중요한 지식으로 여기는 것들은 개별적 지식이 아니라 보편적 진리이다. 이런 진리를 설명하려면 일반법칙의 존재를 인정해야 하는 것처럼 보인다. 일반법칙은 하나님의 작정 개념을 통해 설명될 수 있는 것처럼 보인다. 그러나 하나님은 법칙에 매이지 않고 법칙을 자유롭게 쓰시는 분이다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 인격 안에서 이런 법칙을 알았을 때에 비로소 이 법칙을 바르게 알았다고 말할 수 있게 된다. 성경은 진리 문제를 직설적으로 다루고 있으므로 그 대표적인 몇 구절들의 의미를 살펴보고 어떤 의미에서 ''하나님이 진리이다.''라는 명제가 성립하는지를 논의한다. 그 결과 우리는 철학의 진리관들을 포기하거나 아니면 제한된 의미에서만 사용해야 할 것이라는 결론에 도달한다. |
| 영문 초록 | In this article I want to compare philosophers'' definitions of truth and a biblical concept of truth, and highlight the unique characteristics of the latter. In order to do so I explain the contents of the chief definitions of truth of philosophers and their defects. Usually universal knowledge is more valuable than particular knowledge on particulars. This fact seems to demand general laws to exist in themselves. General laws can be explained by the concept of the eternal Decrees of God. But God uses laws at his will, not that laws rule God. So we must know the personal God who uses the laws at his will in order to be said to know the laws in its fullness. Bible has many verses which deal directly the problem of truth, I examine some of those verses and try to find out in which sense we can say that God is the truth. If my exposition is valid one, it seems that we must abandon the philosophers'' definitions of truth or limit their usage under some conditions. |
